Here is a testimony of Gods faithfulness for one of our campus staff Matt helps lead, based in Istanbul.  Blake is doing great work there in a very challenging situation.

First, A student of ours has really been struggling in his faith, and told me today he knows God is real but doesn’t know if it’s for him anymore. We talked, and he recommitted his life to Jesus and is starting fresh! Praise God.

2nd, I spent the rest of the day (about 4 hours) with a good Turkish friend of mine who helps me coach American football here in Turkey (I know… it’s crazy, and an entirely different story with its own cray God miracles). I shared my testimony with him, and we had a great conversation about faith. (It gets better)

A few days ago, my insulin Pump broke (I am a type 1 Diabetic) and I’ve been praying for divine favor to get the situation figured out and so far God has been silent and I’ve been waiting for him to move. Medtronic, the company I use, has an international office here in Turkey, so I’m just trying to get ahold of them. Tonight we had football practice, but oddly when we arrived a youth soccer team was using our field. They were going to finish before our practice started, so it was okay. We decided to stand to the side and watch for about an hour. Towards the end, I started to hear a beep that sounded exactly like my pump, but mine was in my bag across the other side of the field. At first I thought I was just hearing things, but it kept happening. I looked around, and a little old lady was holding THE EXACT MODEL THAT I USE!!!!!! I quickly grabbed my Turkish friend (the one who I shared my testimony with earlier) and said to translate. I asked her where she got this pump, and she said she didn’t know, it was her grandsons. She said she’d ask him. He didn’t know either, so when his mom came to pick him up, we asked her. She spoke perfect English and is an orthodontist. She gave me her card, gave me the phone number to medtronic(the company I use) and gave me the personal phone number of a representative of the company here in Turkey. I was absolutely blown away, because none of this was supposed to happen, because this team never uses our field. It was a fluke… at least on paper.

The best part of it all… God answered a prayer RIGHT IN FRONT of my Turkish friend. I turned to him excited and said, “I’ve been praying about this for days, and look what God did.”

I am amazed by what he will do in a day. Praise Jesus!”

What a great story to remind us we don’t just serve a great and sovereign God who only thinks of the big stuff, but also the little stuff too!

Blake is an amazing young missionary to Istanbul. His wife Jordan plays volleyball for Team USA & is based in Istanbul during the offseason(playing in the Turkish and European leagues). Please keep them in your prayers as they seeks God’s divine guidance as the political situation heats up. Multiple Americans have been captured recently and held for ransom, the Turkish government is trying to commit genocide against the Armenian people again, and they recently had a 7.0 earth quake. They need our prayers!
